D’Andre is one of the people you meet and never forget. When we met him for the first time he was already deep in battle with cancer. He was given only 2-3 weeks to live. That didn’t stop D’Andre and his family. His family formed and incredible support group called Team D’Andre. One of the most amazing support groups we have ever seen. They were racing to find a way to make all his dreams come true in what short time they had been given. The Dream Factory of San Antonio jumped in running and was determined to help his dream come true. We invited D’Andre and his team to a fundraiser sponsored by Eilan and Carrera Races. We were amazed at the support that showed up for him. There, we announced that we were going to make his dream of meeting John Cena come true. 

In what can only be described as a miracle, supporters and donation flowed in. Within a little over a week all the plans were made. The dream was to meet John Cena at the WWE Royal Rumble in Phoenix.  D'Andre and family boarded a private jet and flew to Phoenix. They were treated like royalty where D’Andre was able to meet with John Cena himself. They had an autograph and photo session with him, then it was Royal Rumble time. D'Andre was so excited to watch this event in person. Upon returning to the airstrip they were surprised to see the official WWE plane of Vince McMahon along with the Rock’s plane.  D'Andre was able to
get photographs with the planes.  D'Andre's smile lite up the night, it was so big and beautiful. 
 
Sadly, on March 17, 2013 D'Andre finished his battle with cancer, but not before he touched the lives of so many people. The Dream Factory of San Antonio will truly miss our prize fighter.


 D’Andre will remain in our hearts forever.

Miss Janie is a little ray of sunshine. Whenever she enters her smile brightens the room. Although she struggles daily with several diagnoses, you would never see her show it. She is always happy and so easy to please. She loves everything from animals, swimming, music and shopping but Mickey Mouse, Tinker Bell and well, everything DISNEY is her favorite! She would just light up when you started talking about Disney. The Dream Factory of San Antonio thought it would be amazing to make her dreams come true! She was invited to a surprise party donated by Planet Party where it was revealed that her dream was coming true and she would be meeting all her Disney friends! She was bubbling over with excitement. That morning finally arrived when she was picked up in a princess perfect limousine and wisped off to the airport. She was welcomed with an unbelievable party put on by The Something mAAgic foundation.  The gate area was filled with cards from school friends and decorated up with ALL things Disney. There was food, music, fun and some amazing gifts. Janie and her family flew to Central Florida and arrived at The Give Kids the World Village, a nonprofit storybook resort. During her stay at GKTW she enjoyed carousal rides, pony rides, different parties held every night and of course the famous all you can eat, whenever you want ice cream parlor! In addition to all the fun at GKTW Janie finally met Mickey, Minnie, Tinker Bell and all her favorite characters!

Meet Zane! He is a very active 5yr old little boy who is full of energy on most days. He suffers from Cystic Fibrosis on a daily basis, even though most days you wouldn’t see anything different. Although shy at first, this handsome young man can steal your heart in a matter of minutes. He loves to play soccer and listen to music, but his dream was to go to Disney and meet Lightning McQueen! He could watch Disney movies like Cars and Phineas and Ferb all day. His favorite characters are Lightning (of course!), Mater, and Doofensmurtz. So, The Dream Factory of San Antonio decided he needed to meet them, IN PERSON! After announcing the big surprise at a party donated by Planet Party, he marked the calendar and began a countdown! The day finally arrived and they were picked up in a really cool Lincoln Navigator limousine and taken to the airport. They were greeted with a huge party put together by The Something mAAgic Foundation. There was plenty of food, fun and even some incredible gifts! Once they arrived in Central Florida they checked into the famous Give Kids the World Village. Zane and his family were treated like royalty. They enjoyed all you can eat ice cream, theme parties every night, carousel rides, and so much more. All of this on top of visiting Disney World, Universal Studios and many other attractions. What a week!!! In addition to being whipped off to Central Florida, Zane and his family got to attend a Scorpions Soccer game, where he got special VIP access and be a part of the tunnel for all the players to run through!

Isaiah is an active six year old with a bright personality who deals with the challenges of his chronic illness like a champ. When he was asked what his dream would be if he could do anything, his answer was to “go to HEB and get a ball”, after spending some time with him it was apparent that he was a huge fan of John Cena who is a record breaking WWE Champion, Actor, Musician, and role model with a huge heart for children, who was coming to town, and was made available to us to help make Isaiah’s dream come true.

We decided to make an entire day out of it. We started off at H-E-B Plus for an incredible shopping spree and party! Then we headed off to Jimmy’s Pizza for Isaiah favorite lunch…PIZZA! After a quick stop off for some Ice Cream, we were headed to the WWE Raw Event held at the AT&T Center. Isaiah was without words when John Cena walked in. Then we were off to watch the live event. All of this, as well as being escorted around in a luxurious limo! Whew, what a day!

Robbie is a special guy that doesn't want much out of life.  He faces the challenges of numerous health problems, including Cerebral Palsy and being blind. 

However his dream was a simple one - he wanted to sit outside on a swing and enjoy what mother nature has for him in the form of touch, smell and sound.  We at the Dream Factory made his dream come true by providing him with some shade in the form of a pergola, so that he can stay outside during the day and a swing for he and his family to swing on. 

We provided him some wind chimes, some fragrant flowers and a fountain for sensory stimulation. He really enjoys his new area and it's hard to make him come inside!  We are glad to have been able to make his dream come true.
